Monday we went to the High Desert Museum, which is right by Bend, OR. I had never heard of it and wasn't sure what to expect. But wow, what an amazing place! There were tons of different exhibits and things to look at.

Takin' a ride

Sadie and Zack with a very old ranger's truck

This was the beginning of an exhibit all about the Plateau Indians of Oregon and Washington. It was a really neat exhibit!

Drew and I were the only ones who would touch the snake :)

And we got to pet a turtle. He was a cutie.

The big spider web climbing net outside

A BIG teepee!
One of the big exhibits outside was the 1880 homestead ranch. It was all set up just like a real ranch back then. It was super cool, with a house, food cellar, barn, lots of animals, and people dressed up just like people in the 1800s.

Sadie and Zack got to try out a game from way back when with sticks and a ring

There was even a school teacher, who was showing the kids how to write both on slate with slate pencils and also on paper using pens that you dip in ink.

Sadie watered the garden

Whoa!

A few poses with the fake animals...

Thanks, Papa and Grandma, for taking us to this super awesome museum!
