Beverly Beach

Two weekends ago, we had the pleasure of going camping with some of our good friends and also Tony's dad, Paul, and step-mom, Jacque. The weather was a little chilly and we had some issues with campsites initially, but the weekend turned out to be a great time.
What is it with boys and fire???

Maddie - such a cutie!

Bryson, Jackson and Zack

Hwy 101 runs overhead, right at the edge of the campground and right next to the beach!

Mom says the water is cold, but I must try it out myself to be sure!

Watching Grandma Jacque writing in the sand. She's so cool!

Drew and Ally

Zack and Bryson

Bryson, Jackson, Sadie and Zack on a nature walk with Jacque. Did I mention how cool she is? ;)

So this trip was not just a camping trip, but a guy's fishing trip as well. Our friend, Aaron, has his fishing boat moored at Depoe Bay, a convenient 10 minutes from the campground. The guys went out Friday night to drop some crab pots and then were gone much of the day Saturday. But they caught a ton and had a blast!
CRAB!! (they caught 72 over the course of the weekend)

Halibut and Salmon

Um, not too sure about this grossness! (That's what I thought, at least!)

But it made a fiiiiine meal! And I, the girl who does not like fish, tried some of each and actually enjoyed it!

Paul and Jacque with their real and surrogate grandkids! ;)

Sunday the big kids got to go fishing for a little bit. The boys had kind of a hard time with the rockiness of the boat and ended up going back in after a short time. But Sadie had a blast and stayed on the boat the whole time!

We took a little family nature hike. Oregon is so beautiful!

The campground has a playground too!

Our last morning

On our way home we stopped at a very old DQ in Lincoln City and of course had to have ice cream and Dilly Bars!
