Sunday we headed up to Washington. My parents live in Federal Way, about 30 minutes South of Seattle. That is where we stayed each night during the week. We dropped our stuff off and headed to Seattle for a Chinese banquet. Aaron, the guy who Chrissie married, is Chinese and I think it is custom to have a Chinese banquet before a wedding. So that is what we did! We went to a restaurant that was right on Lake Union (and actually only a mile or two from SPU, where I went to college for 4 years!) There were around 60 people there, most of them Aaron's Chinese family. The food was, well, interesting. A few of the dishes we had were: shark fin soup, duck sandwiches, rice soup, and tapioca with potatoes. After the appetizers were brought, each entree came one at a time, about ten minutes apart. There had to be 12 dishes, it was crazy!!! The kids had more Americanized Chinese food, and they ate SO much! Zack and Drew loved the shrimp! Sadie finally got to meet Ellie, Aaron's cousin, who was the other flower girl. Ellie is 8 and her sister, Angie, is 5 and they are the sweetest little girls!

A little trick I learned when I was posting about my vacation - if you go to post options, you can change the date of the post, so if you want this one to appear as a post on 8/3 you can. Just a lil sneaky trick - oh, and you can delete this comment if you want : )
I will send you an email outside of this - love my earrings!
