Most of you know that Zack has been doing karate since February. He is doing very well and just loves it. Sadie and Drew go along, of course, and Sadie has become quite interested in karate. Sensei Guido has noticed Sadie's interest and for the last few weeks has had her be a part of the class. He even brought her a uniform last week. He has such a passion for teaching karate that he couldn't stand Sadie not doing it too!Monday was another karate testing, where the Little Dragons can earn a stripe for their belt. Sensei let Sadie test, even though she has only been doing the class for a couple of weeks. She did awesome!!! She got her first stripe, yellow, and we are so proud of her!
Zack tested and received his second stripe, orange, for his belt. He also did very well and it was fun to see the progress he has made over the last 6 months.
They have karate today and they are both so excited to wear their newly adorned belts!!

When he gave Sadie her stripe and certificate, Sensei also told everyone how she had always come and watched Zack but now is doing karate too!

How cool!! What a fantastic teacher! I love hearing about teachers that seize the moment and make the most they can for every child!
That's great that Sadie has joined the ranks too! It takes such discipline and strength...great life lessons! Good for you for encouraging them too!
We loved watching Sadie and Zack testing... they did so well and were so proud! Watching Drew perform the routine was also great! Way to Go Sadie and Zack!
