We took a little break and went to the Kid Zone area above left field. They have carnival type games and a bouncy house for kids! The kids got to hit balls that were held up by a blast of air. Mr. Drew (aka future baseball player) hit every single one on his first swing!

Go Beavers!!
No, NOT the Oregon State Beavers, but the Portland Beavers! These Beavers are the Triple A baseball team for the San Diego Padres who play here in Portland! (Aunt Jeanie, I hear you screaming "Go Padres!" right now!) Sunday they were actually playing the Tacoma Rainiers, who are the Triple A team for the Mariners, so we decided last minute that we should go to the game. Thanks to our lovely Entertainment Book, we were able to get super great seats for the price of the cheap seats. We sat 7 or 8 rows back on the first base side of home plate. That is the closest I have ever sat at a baseball game! The kids had a great time. They were hoping to catch a foul ball, but no such luck this time.

In case you were wondering... We left after the 8th inning with the Rainiers winning by 3. (The kids were getting antsy) Apparently, some major plays and hits and walks happened in the bottom of the 9th and the Beavers won with a play at home plate! Oops.
