Zack's Happenings

January was a pretty calm month for us, but Zack did have a few fun events...
Skate Night! Zack doesn't like skating as much as Sadie and Drew do, but he definitely has fun hanging with his buddies Gideon and Isaiah!

Then came the annual 2nd grade field trip to the Rice Rock Museum. Sounds boring, I know, but it is actually really awesome. Seriously!

Zack is on his school chess team and he participated for the second time in the chess tournament that they hosted. He did really well and won 3 out of 5 games!

Town Hall is an awards assembly that the kids' school does every month. Zack got an award at the January Town Hall.

His award was for "The work he does each day that reflects his creativity, imagination and doing his best!"

And finally (as if that all wasn't enough!), Zack had another karate testing. Now that he is a green belt, he can only test every 6 months instead of every 3 months like before. This time he tested for his second green belt (there are three levels of green belt before moving to brown). I tried to upload the video I took, but it was too long. Bummer.
Here he is doing the sparring part of his test with his friend, Isaac.

Zack, we are so proud of you and all the work and effort you put into everything you do. You are a wonderful kid and we sure love you!
