4th of July

July 4 was a super busy but super fun day this year. Our city does a really awesome parade for the 4th every, and before the parade the local hospital sponsors a 5K run for cancer. My friend Jeni and I decided to run it this year! This was my first race as an adult and was actually really fun. My goal was to run the entire thing, and I did just that! My time was 34:46 - not bad for not really training or trying to go fast!

Before the 5K was a one block kids race, which Sadie did.

After the race, we went to our spot for the parade and waited for it to start!

That evening we went over to the Hevland's house. Tony works with Mark, and he and his wife invited us over for a BBQ.

Then it was time for fireworks!!

What a great day. And the weather actually was pretty nice, yay! Can't wait for next year!
