*~* 10 Years of Sadie *~*

On September 18, 2000 at 5:10 am, I gave birth to a beautiful, perfect baby girl. Tony and I named her Sadie Jean and fell in love with her right away. She had a loud cry and a little pouty lip right from the start. She had her days and nights mixed up and nursed continuously. After lots of trial and error and very little sleep, we started to figure her out, and eventually felt like we kind of knew what we were doing as first-time parents.

Sadie grew and grew...

6 Months

Sadie has never lacked personality. She has always loved to sing and dance and has a definite girly side. But she has always had a love for the sporty side of life as well. She has had a mind of her own since she was a toddler and has always been a "do-it-myself" kind of girl.

3 Years (with Zack, 2 months)

Sadie has never lacked enthusiasm. She loves life and has always embraced new things with joy and excitement. What a joy she has been to our family!

Somewhere along the way, Sadie grew from a little girl into a big girl. I am not sure how that happened, but it did. I can't even imagine what she will be like at 20. *sniff*

9 Years

Sadie today, 10 Years Old

10 years, wow. Sadie reminds me almost daily that she is now a "tween". Gasp! It seems that only yesterday I held her in my arms for the first time. And now she is well on her way to becoming a young lady. Sadie is beautiful, smart, loving, kind, and best of all, she still loves her mom!! I know the day will come when she wants to spend more time with her friends than me, and I will go from the smartest mom on the planet to the most clueless. So for now, I hang on for dear life to my sweet Baby Girl, and pray my heart out for her future, that it is as bright and joyous as the past 10 years have been. I love you, Sweet Sadie!
