Day 3 - Cabo San Lucas, MEXICO!!

Tuesday we woke up and looked outside to see... LAND! Cabo was quickly approaching, so we got up, showered, had breakfast in our room again and off we went to disembark!

El Arco, "The Arch"

The city of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico!

Lots of pelicans

A pirate ship! Had to take a picture of this for the boys :)

Our gigantic ship. There is no place in the port of Cabo for cruise ships to dock, so they are tendered. We had to line up and take little boats, called tenders, to the marina. It did take a bit of time, but I thought it went quite smoothly.

This is where the tenders would pull up to let people off.

All those people lined up are trying to get tourists to buy excursions. There were tons! We had gone the safe route and booked all of our excursions through Royal Caribbean so we knew what we were getting! ;)

We had paid to go to a resort for the day in Cabo. We didn't know which one it would be and were a tad bit anxious to see. We ended up here, at the ME Resort. It was BEAUTIFUL!

Looking out at the ocean

The pool and hotel

This is one of my most favorite pictures from our vacation. The pool, the swim up bar (the little hut), the Mariner of the Seas and even a bird flying by!

The cacti were strange. Like a tree at the bottom and then like a cactus!

It was soooo warm. *sigh*

Our delicious lunch, yum!

The sand was strange, super hot of course, but really grainy and it hurt to walk on.

We spent about 4 hours at the resort just hanging out on the beach, buying from the beach vendors, eating, drinking, swimming in the pool, so fun. We also met a mother and daughter, Maria and Alexandra, and spent the time hanging out and chatting with them. They are from Toronto and we hung out with them on the ship quite a bit the rest of the week. After the resort, we still had a little time so Tony and I checked out the markets that were close to the marina.

Street entertainment

Then it was time to catch a tender back to the ship. Goodbye, Cabo!

Hellooooo ship!
Once on the ship, we got all cleaned up and went off to dinner. It was so fun to share our adventures with our tablemates! (I forgot to mention that on Monday we added a couple from Vancouver, B.C. to our table. Rick and Ellen, they are super neat people!) After dinner was another show in the Savoy Theater. This time, by the ship's own entertainers - dancers and singers who put on a whole Broadway-type show! It was great, but we were WIPED, probably from the sun. So after the show we tucked in early. We even missed the 70's dancing in the street party. Boo.
