The Maliboomer

California Adventure has a ride called the Maliboomer. You sit in a seat facing out and then are shot 180 feet straight up in the air along a pole-like thing. On our trip, we walked past it, but none of us went on it or spent any amount of time paying attention to it. Or so I thought.

Last night, Zack was busy building away with his Duplos. I hear him tell Tony, "Look, the Maliboomer!" Then sounds of amazement, and I was beckoned to come and see. Zack had built his version of the Maliboomer complete with moving parts!

Here, Zack demonstrates how the Maliboomer shoots the people straight into the air! And it really works! Now, it wasn't quite "slippery" enough for Zack's liking, but he made due.

Um, I would have to say that Zack inherited his engineer's mind from his Papa Tom, who was an engineer at Boeing for many years. This kid amazes me. :)
