Roller Kids

My poor deprived children had never been roller skating...until last Thursday, that is! It was the Jackson Elementary Skate Night and I decided to be brave and go with all three kids by myself for their first time skating. I know, I deserve a medal! ;)

I didn't get skates myself simply for the fact that I am not good enough on them to be able to stay up and help both of the boys skate without severely injuring one or all of us. Sadie picked it up pretty well and her girlfriends were there to go around the rink with her. The boys spent most of the time in the practice rink, which suited them just fine. Everyone kept their skates on the whole time and by the end they were only falling every few minutes instead of multiple times per minute! This is definitely an activity we need to do more of.

Getting braver...

And braver....

And braver!!

Such fun times were had by all!
