Pitching Girl

This is Sadie's 5th year playing softball and she is loving it! She is playing U10, which includes 3rd and 4th graders, AND the girls actually pitch! Sadie has been wanting to pitch since last year, but we weren't too on top of working with her and getting her to a point where she was good enough to do so. Once the season started, her coaches, the Butterfields (great friends of ours as well as awesome coaches!) worked with the girls who wanted to pitch. Sadie has actually done really well and ended up being the lead off pitcher for the very first game! She was pretty nervous but did really well, even throwing a few strikes.
Look at that cute girl! :)

Sadie has only had two games due to a few rain-outs, but this season is warming up to be really good and super fun! Even this mellow mama gets pretty riled up watching the girls play!

GO DYNAMITE!!

Drew's Turn

This is Drew's first time playing an organized sport, and boy, has he been ready! This kid loves sports and has a hard time watching his brother and sister play when he wants to play too. Finally he is old enough for KBall!! I cannot even begin to explain how cute it is to watch Drew and his teammates. Oh. My. Goodness!!! Here is a sneak peak of all the cuteness that goes on.
First position, first game, Drew got to be catcher! Hilarious!
While playing catcher, Drew squatted behind home plate and jabbered at his teammates and the other team's batters the whole inning. No heckling, just continuous talk, encouragement and cheering them on.
You can see him here on 1st base clapping for his teammates!

On 3rd waiting to go home

I just am so excited to see my kids grow and learn new things and form their likes and dislikes. It will be interesting to see what sports Drew enjoys most and will always be fun to watch, no matter what it may be!

GO FIRE DRAGONS!!

Play Ball! Zack's up!

It's Spring, and Spring only means one thing in our household... BASEBALL!! (Yes Sadie, softball, too...) This is our first time ever having all three kids playing the same sport. Amazingly enough, their schedules only overlap a little bit, but we are super busy just the same. Thank goodness Tony and I both love watching our kids play so much!

This year Zack is playing Coach Pitch. His team is 1st and 2nd graders and they have moved to hitting off the coach instead of the tee and also playing outs! It is so fun to watch!
Look at that stance!

Waiting on 3rd.

Made it home!

After only playing a few games, Zack has already gotten faster, more accurate and more confident in the game. I can't wait to see how much more growth there is at the end of the season!

GO TIDAL WAVES!!!

Easter 2011

Every year I make sure to get a good picture of the kids in their Easter best. My camera isn't very good, but I think this one is my favorite and turned out pretty well.
Church was awesome on Easter. What a joyful time it is when we remember that Jesus didn't suffer and die for nothing! He rose from the dead and thus gave us the opportunity to have eternal life with Him forever! Praise the Lord!
The beautiful children of our church

All of us in front of the cross where we placed flowers that remind us of the beauty that comes from the Cross!

Opening a few gifts from Grandma :)

The table

We are truly blessed to have everything we have: health, family, friends, food, a house, and so much more that we don't even need and so many don't have. I am trying to always keep this in the front of my mind so that I may continually be giving thanks to our glorious God.

HE IS RISEN!
HE IS RISEN INDEED!

Some Beachy Girl Time

This year for Easter, my mom, brother and mom's friend (and college roommate!), Karen, came down to visit. Karen was visiting Mom from California and wanted to see me and my family, so it worked out for them to come here! We had decided that the 4 "girls" needed to head over Cannon Beach on Saturday, and the weather ended up being great! After a yummy lunch and some shopping, we stepped onto the beach so we could feel the sand between our toes. It was a bit chilly, but NOT rainy, so we took it!
Ahhhh, so soft!
