Family Time at the Zoo

Saturday we went to the zoo, all 5 of us together! I seriously can't remember the last time we all went to the zoo. What a great time we had!

The Preschool Grad

It's official. Our oldest son is now a Kindergartner! I can't believe it. I guess it shouldn't be such a shock since he will be 6 in a little over a month and we chose to have one extra year with him, but still! This is my baby!

On Friday Zack's class and three others from his preschool had a little program and then cookies and punch to celebrate the end of the year. It was darn cute. Zack sang his little heart out up there. What a sweet guy he is.

They recited 26 Bible verses in a row with sign language!

Zack and Gavin, best of friends. Kinda sad, though. They will be at different schools next year. I guess that's life though, huh?

Black Beauties

Okay, I am back. I know I have been terrible about blogging lately, and it is killing me! Too much to do, so little time.

So Sadie is playing softball, this is her third year and it is quite fun. The girls' softball league is much more competitive at a younger age than Zack's league. Both are fun to watch, but this year watching Sadie's team has been especially neat to watch. The girls are really getting it - batting, catching, fielding the ball. SO COOL!
GO NUMBER 7!!

Sadie loves being catcher. Ain't she cute? ;)

Playing "Family"

The kids are at an age where they play really well together. (Unless Drew is in a "mood" and decides to hit everyone. That doesn't go down too well for him.) Anyway, on a nice day recently, Sadie, Zack and Drew went out back to play. They played together for hours. I didn't want to interrupt too much, but I did gather that they were playing "family" and it must have been super fun.

Sadie and Zack - must be the mom and dad...

It was really cute and I am so proud of them for working together and really just enjoying each other!

The Red Raiders

This is Zack's very first year playing t-ball. His team is all 5 and 6 year olds and he is very happy that his best friend Gavin and another friend Dana (a girl) are on his team! I tell you, these kids are so darn cute!!! Here are some pics from his very first game.
Nice hit!

The Long-Lost Zoo

I have a confession. I have been a bad mommy. Why, you ask? Because we have not been to the zoo in over a YEAR. Yup, you heard me! So long ago that Drew doesn't even know what the zoo is. The reason? Our zoo pass expired ages ago and we just never renewed it. I know, horrible! So FINALLY, a couple weeks ago I went ahead and did it, I renewed our zoo membership! YeeHaw! Sadie and Zack are hard to nail down with school, so they haven't gone yet. But last week Jeni and I took Drew and Cohen after we had dropped their big bros off at school. It was so much fun!!
Cohen has a nice mom who actually takes him to the zoo. So he did a great job showing Drew all of the animals. ;)

Whoa, BIG sea lion!

Flip Flops

Drew loves shoes. And he is independent. And he likes to be a big boy. So when I pulled out some flip flops just his size that Zack had too much trouble with to ever wear, Drew was ecstatic! He proudly wore them to church and actually did fairly well. He was acting so funny about them I just had to take some pictures!
This kid cracks me up!!
