Equestrian Dreams

Sadie loves horses. (What 7 year old girl doesn't?) Well, her dreams of riding horses have finally become realized! A wonderful family at our church has a beautiful home up on Skyline Blvd, overlooking the city of Portland. They have recently built their own barn/stable, hired a trainer, and now have ten horses! So now Sadie is taking riding lessons twice a month from the trainer, Emily. She LOVES it! She has been riding the pony, Cinnamon, to get acclimated to being on a horse and learning how to direct one. But this last Monday, she got the chance to ride a one of the big horses, Kaelyn! She was SO excited! She says she wasn't nervous, but as she rode past Daddy sitting in the stands, she wouldn't let go of the reins to wave to him! We are just loving being at the barn. The boys and I play outside, talk to the horses, play with the train table in the viewing room, whatever we want. It is a wonderful change of pace and a beautiful place to be. I hope we are able to let Sadie continue for years to come!

Here We Go!

I am finally doing it! I never thought I would have a blog, but here I am! I have several friends whose blogs I check daily and I love reading up on them and seeing pictures. So I have decided that I would like to do one too! I can't promise something new every day, sorry, I do have three kids! But I will try to be regular about posting and I hope that someone reads it and enjoys it! (Even if it is just the grandparents...)
